We are currently running an occasional weblog awards contest on this site although we may do more in the future.
WordPress.com hosted weblogs are welcome to suggest topics and particular blogs for selection of a slate of nominees.
We also hope to simply make it easier for WordPress.com members to nominate their own WordPress.com blogs and those of other wordpress.com bloggers they like for the Blog of the Day Awards.
WordPress.com has been seriously under-represented in the Blog of the Day Awards and we believe that this is due to the requirement to create a Blogger.com account prior to being able to make nominations.
We hope this will remedy that situation and that many more wordpress.com blogs will get nominated and win awards.

The criteria are similar to Blog of the Day awards but have the additional restriction that they must be hosted at wordpress.com
